Female Urology Center

The Board certified urology physicians at the Urology Center are very aware of the special problems that many women endure, including overactive bladder problems, urinary wetness, cystitis, frequent urination, incontinence, pelvic pain, bladder pain, interstitial cystitis, atrophic vaginitis and others.

We often find our new female patients to be long suffering, stoic individuals who commonly do not complain about these problems to their doctors.  In some cases, when patients approach their physicians about these issues, their questions are may be disregarded or flatly ignored.  Sometimes these problems are dismissed simply as common female complaints that do not warrant full investigation and treatment.  Yet, other physicians have reached an understanding that these problems can limit a patient's quality of life. Please click the links below for information about overactive bladder and urinary incontinence in women, including real solutions to these very common problems.

Urinary Incontinence in Women: It's Not Normal

New Treatments for Overactive Bladder

The physicians at the Urology Center have specialized training and interest in the correction of these very treatable and often reversible problems.  At least 50 percent of our patients are female and we have helped thousands of women overcome problems and go forward with the confidence which comes from healthy living.  Here are several examples of comments which we have received.  Names have been changed for privacy reasons.

I feel great!  Thank you for helping me become dry again.  I never had any pain with the sling surgery and I didn't take any pain medicine except Tylenol.  I'm no longer wet at all and I am not having to wear those thick soaked pads.  Linda [nurse] was wonderful.  I'm back to normal again thanks to you and I tell everybody I see.  They can't believe how happy I am ...

                                        Hammond, Louisiana

... I was worried at first, but after you explained everything, I felt a lot better.  I'm taking the medication and doing the exercises and I feel much better.  Tina [physical therapist] helped me a lot with the biofeedback training.  She is so nice.

... You know, I thought I just had to live with being wet, but now I'm so happy that I don't!  I'll always come back to see you ... When you find a good doctor you always stick with them.

                                        M. V.

                                        Baton Rouge, Louisiana

... After four surgeries by the doctors in ...  I was still wetter than ever.  I was just staying at home because I was afraid of what people might think.  Even though I used to teach aerobics, I couldn't go to my exercise classes anymore and I didn't even go out to the mall.

Now I am dry and my life is one hundred percent better.  I went dancing the other day!  ... I'm so glad that my daughter got me to see you.  May God bless you ...  Thank you for your professionalism, concern and prayers.

                                        K. R.,

                                        Magnolia, Mississippi
